How to pay with crypto

Helica Labs takes payment in cryptocurrency. Never paid with crypto before? This guide takes you through your first payment in about five minutes.

How payment works

After you place your order and choose crypto, you are taken to a secure payment page run by Paymento, our crypto payment provider. There you choose the coin and network you want to pay with, and the page shows the exact amount and the address to send it to, with a QR code. Paymento confirms your payment to us automatically.

First time? The simplest route

If you don't hold any crypto yet, this is the easiest way to pay:

  1. Buy USDC or BTC in an app you trust

    Use a regulated app or exchange, with an account in your own name. USDC is a stablecoin worth about one US dollar, so the amount doesn't move while you pay. Buy a little more than your order total to cover the fee your app charges for sending.

  2. Place your order

    Check out as usual and click "Buy now", then choose "Pay with crypto" to open the secure payment page.

  3. Pick the same coin and network

    Choose the coin and network you hold, for example "USDC on Solana", and pick the same network when you send from your app. A payment sent on a different network than the one shown can be lost.

  4. Send the exact amount

    Copy the address or scan the QR code, then send exactly the amount shown before the timer runs out. Check the first and last characters of the address before you confirm.

  5. Wait for confirmation

    Once the network confirms your payment, your order is marked as paid. You can close the payment page; we email you either way.

How long confirmation takes

Typical times. Busy networks can take longer.

After you pay

Your order is marked as paid automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed, and we send you a confirmation email. You can follow your order on your order page at any time; the link is in your order email.

If the timer runs out

A payment page is only valid for a limited time, because crypto prices move. If it expires before you have paid, open your order page and use "Complete payment" to get a fresh payment page for the same order. Unpaid orders are cancelled automatically after 72 hours.

Sent the payment just as the timer ran out? Don't send it again. Contact us with your order reference and we will check it for you.

Good to know

  • Always pay from an account or wallet in your own name.
  • Some apps ask you to confirm the address you send to before a first withdrawal. Check this before you check out.
  • When your app asks, name the coin and the network together, for example "USDC on Solana".
